You may be self-aware and know your struggles, for example, living in your head too much and overthinking things, not living up to your ideals and values, and falling back into old and destructive patterns.

Trying repeatedly to figure things out occurs mainly from relying on what others think may be best for you, seeking advice from self-help books, friends, and family, or even other professionals who attempt to ‘fix’ what’s wrong.

Unfortunately, the methods you tried have not resulted in lasting change. Maybe it’s time to give individual therapy a try.

Instead, it is learning how to start listening to that buried intuitive voice that already knows all the answers you are searching for.

Think of individual therapy as a time for self-exploration with someone who does not judge but listens intensively and hears what you have to say.

Here’s what we’ll do to get you there.

Our sessions will start wherever your head is at the moment. You set the agenda, which might focus on current circumstances or whatever is on your mind. Then, we will move toward deepening the exploration of self.

This process involves self-reflection, exploring your deepest needs and wants, challenging your beliefs about yourself and the world, and being as honest as possible! Most importantly, we will pay attention to what you need to feel comfortable with this inner, personal journey.

I also like taking a client-centered approach, mainly utilizing ‘parts work’ to help a client deepen self-awareness and self-curiosity.

I firmly believe in what I call ‘session between the session,’ where a client takes insights from the session and applies them to the week ahead to further build on one’s progress.
