About Peretz Shlosberg, MSW, LCSW

AdminI’m not just a therapist.

I am also a husband, a father of three young children, an artist, and a spiritual seeker.

I’m always learning new things about the world around me.

My favorite topics of exploration are the intersection between science and spirituality, specifically the concepts of past life regression, near-death experiences, psychedelics, and frontier science, from the tiniest discoveries in quantum physics to the largest in our ever-expanding universe. Want to learn something really cool as an example of this? Look into the ‘Mandelbrot Set’ and prepare to be amazed!

I’m passionate about holding space for your story.

Certainly, I appreciate the opportunity to share a bit about my journey. Like many, I’ve faced my share of personal challenges – moments of adversity, loss, and self-discovery that have shaped me as an individual and a therapist.

These experiences have been instrumental in bringing me closer to understanding my authentic self. I’ve learned that embracing vulnerability and acknowledging our own struggles is a powerful catalyst for connection. By being genuine about my triumphs and trials, I create a space where clients feel comfortable doing the same. Authenticity is not just a principle but a lived experience that I bring to every session.

My interest in others’ stories stems from a profound belief in the transformative power of shared experiences. Through my own challenges, I’ve witnessed the resilience of the human spirit. This fuels my curiosity and empathy toward the diverse narratives that walk into my therapy space.

Being authentic and empathetic benefits clients in several ways. It establishes a foundation of trust, allowing them to open up more freely. When clients sense that I’m not just a therapist but a fellow traveler on life’s journey, it creates a shared understanding. This mutual authenticity paves the way for a deeper connection, making the therapeutic process more meaningful and effective. It’s not just about analyzing problems; it’s about collaboratively exploring, understanding, and, ultimately, thriving.

In my free time…

I love exploring both inner and outer nature. I’m always connecting my life experiences and examining their deeper spiritual significance. You’ll often find me walking or driving aimlessly, getting lost in thought, contemplating life and all of its subtleties and complexities.

I enjoy being creative through the written word or artistic expression, like painting or drawing.

I also like spending time with my family, going on fun adventures, delving into deep conversations with friends, and watching my children grow up.
