Being that little kid again.
The following question may sound funny, but I think you’ll be able to relate.
Do you ever feel like you have become a little kid again? Maybe it happens after someone says something to you negatively, right after your boss asks you to meet them in their office, or it starts to happen once you are overworked and overwhelmed with things in life.
Growing back up requires being honest.
One way to look at what is happening to us at these times is that we become triggered into a past traumatic state.
Growing ourselves back up requires awareness and honesty to look at our sometimes more shameful parts.
However, when we start to do this, we can grow back up and respond to the things that come our way with more resilience and confidence.
Group work can help with the growth process.
One way to start looking at this process and healing ourselves is through intimate group work, which will help with the Relationship Recovery Process (RRP).
The RRP therapy model, specifically designed as intimate group work, is an excellent alternative to individual therapy. The six-month introduction group has two primary goals – practicing intimacy building and learning how to begin reparenting ourselves in the present.
The process for joining an RRP group is quite selective due to the fragile nature of this deep trauma work. Typically, it is helpful to have spent time working individually with a trauma therapist first. However, our team will consider other factors to see whether the RRP group suits your needs.
Anyone interested would begin the process with an intake interview, and we will provide further details at that time.
Reach out today for an intake interview, and we will see if RRP can help: (314) 384-4488.
